Session Title: Applying Dollar Values to PDPM Characteristics & Avoiding Top MissedOpportunities with Case Studies.   This session of the PDPM Master Class Series will focus on the financial implications of coding (or failing to code) various PDPM characteristics through a review of high risk variables impacting PDPM reimbursement. Actual PDPM audit trends and case studies will be reviewed to identify areas of potential missed opportunity, process lapses, and supportive documentation vulnerabilities. Operational strategies to promote PDPM compliance and coding accuracy in high impact areas will be emphasized.

1. Identify common coding errors and supportive documentation vulnerabilities related to PDPM reimbursement.

2. Review key operational strategies to drive compliance, coding and supportive documentation accuracy under PDPM in priority areas

Course Content

  • 35 minutes Review PDPM relevant patient characteristics that are high risk for coding and/or supportive documentation errors and the corresponding rate impact for those variables using audit case studies
  • 35 minutes Discuss best practices, facility processes, and key operational strategies to reduce missed opportunities and errors and to prioritize key action items based on the potential impact to the facility
  • 5 minutes Closing Comments/ Q&A

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing and emailed to [email protected] or faxed to 502-425-3431. Cancellations by phone will not be accepted. Cancellations received no later than February 25 will receive a full refund. Cancellations received between February 25 to March 2  will receive a refund of 1/2. Registrants who do not attend or who do not complete the full seminar will not receive a refund unless prior written notice is given to the KAHCF office.
