This session of the PDPM Master Class Series will focus on lessons learned and operational best practices derived from the experiences of providers achieving successful outcomes under PDPM in areas such as, but not limited to: census stability and admission practices, interdisciplinary operations, coding accuracy, clinical quality and financial outcomes.

Learning Objectives

1. Identify key updates and operational best practices employed by successful providers under PDPM

2. Develop strategies to implement solutions to common problem areas providers face under PDPM, and drive continual quality improvement for clinical and operational goal areas.

Course Content

  • 45 minutes Review best practices of successful providers including case studies in processes and systems for census management, admissions and referral partner engagement, clinical operations and quality, coding compliance and billing/reimbursement effectiveness with emphasis on changes made to succeed under the new payment model
  • 25 minutes Discuss strategies for evaluating facility systems and driving performance improvement based on the insights shared from successful providers
  • 5 minutes Closing Comments/ Q&A

Continuing Education

The Kentucky Association of Health Care Facilities is an approved provider of continuing education by the Kentucky Board of Nursing, #5-0002.  To receive the 1.25 contact hours, you must complete the entire program. Certificates may be printed once the program evaluation is submitted. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing and emailed to [email protected] or faxed to 502-425-3431. Cancellations by phone will not be accepted. Cancellations received no later than Oct 27. will receive a full refund. Cancellations received between October 27  to November 2  will receive a refund of 1/2. Registrants who do not attend or who do not complete the full seminar will not receive a refund unless prior written notice is given to the KAHCF office.
