Build & Implement Crucial PDPM Policies (e.g., IPA, Interrupted Stay, Therapy Delivery) This introductory session of the PDPM Master Class Series includes an in-depth discussion of the importance of developing and implementing key skilled nursing facility (SNF) policies and procedures to ensure compliance under PDPM. Participants will gain insight into areas where PDPM specific policies and procedures are recommended with a focus on facility processes that promote consistently accurate, patient-driven data collection methods, assessment practices, interdisciplinary team collaboration for coding, and quality oversight mechanisms. This session will provide guidance on suggested areas of SNF policy development with examples of effective process considerations and policy language for PDPM risk areas including the Interim Payment Assessment (IPA), Interrupted Stay rule and Therapy Delivery under PDPM.

Learning Objectives

  • 30 minutes Review key areas for PDPM policy and procedure development to address potential risk areas of the payment model
  • 30 minutes Discuss best practices, facility processes, and key strategies to promote effective and accurate assessment and coding practices for PDPM compliance
  • 10 minutes Review recommended policy content and language for PDPM risk areas including the Interim Payment Assessment, Interrupted Stay rule and Therapy Delivery under PDPM
  • 5 minutes Closing Comments/ Q&A

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing and emailed to [email protected] or faxed to 502-425-3431. Cancellations by phone will not be accepted. Cancellations received no later than December 31. will receive a full refund. Cancellations received between December 31  to January 6  will receive a refund of 1/2. Registrants who do not attend or who do not complete the full seminar will not receive a refund unless prior written notice is given to the KAHCF office.
