“ZING” means energy, enthusiasm, or liveliness. Due to the pandemic, many health care professionals have either temporarily “misplaced” their ZING or have totally lost it! Maybe no one noticed that your ZING was missing, because you put up a “good front” and didn’t let anyone know what you were going through personally. Maybe you were the community “cheerleader” and could not allow others to see the cost of the pandemic to you as an individual. Maybe even YOU weren’t aware of what was taking place within your own emotions and feelings, but now, you realize something is missing. Whatever your emotional position may be Post-COVID, professionals are finding it harder and harder to recapture that enthusiasm for the job they love, and the role they play within their community. Cat will share what COVID has done to us - the good, the bad, and the ugly. She will also be offering guidance and suggestions on how we can recapture that motivation and enthusiasm for what we do best - caring for our precious elders. If you can’t seem to find the motivation you need to return to our “new normal,” this is the session for you!

Twenty two results-proven strategies/takeaways will be outlined for immediate adaptation and implementation within the post-acute, skilled nursing and assisted living marketplace. This program is designed for leaders who are willing to break out of the typical and expected industry norms, flex beyond their comfort zones and move past "muffin marketing." Regardless of what part of the health care or senior living journey you champion, sustaining a strong census is critical to the success of your overall operation.

Session 7-- Trauma Informed Care Regulatory Overview and Practical Application: A COVID-19 Perspective Understanding trauma informed care is important as it represents an integrated approach to IDT understanding residents holistically. IDTs must approach resident assessment with an eye, ear and heart toward understanding resident specific trauma and how a resident specific experience of trauma may affect the nuance of care planning, goal setting and outcomes achievement. Attendees will benefit from an understanding of how a truly interdisciplinary approach is necessary to a resident oriented, outcomes driven concept of care that allows past and present trauma to inform specific care pathways.
